TIWA AMAZONAS ECORESORT
LOCATION
Tiwa Amazonas Ecoresort is the newest en most exclusive ecoresort in the Amazones. Located in the jungle at the beach of Rio Negro river, just opposite of Manaus, Tiwa offers an unique starting point to experiences the wonders and adventures of the Amazones. Just a stoll away from the resort you enter the Tropical jungle or explore with one of our boats the best parts of this tremendous flores and waterspectacle.
The Tiwa Amazon Resort is situated 10 km from Manaus , on the banks of the Rio Negro. The complex is surrounded by its own grounds of more than 2 square km. The resort is built around a beautiful natural lake that is surrounded by tropical rainforest. At the edge of the lake - with their feet in the water - you will see 26 double houses built on poles; they each have a bed-sit and a bathroom with a spacious patio above the lake. Ç
There is a lovely wide sandy beach along the river and in front of the resort. During the two months of the year when the water level in the Rio Negro is high the beach will be less wide an sometimes it will disappear altogether. This is the rainy season, but it usually means just one shower a day, because otherwise the weather is lovely! This is the time when the river is boss for a while, and during this time you are welcome to visit our spacious raft and the beach by the terrace around the swimming pool. The resorts not only has a swimming pool, but also a restaurant, a water sport centre and an amphitheatre, but everywhere around you, you will see, hear and smell the Amazonian Jungle
The programme and the options on location
Your stay will be on the basis of full board, which means that each day your breakfast, lunch and dinner are included. In addition all our guests will be offered a varied recreation and activity programme; a large part of this programme will be included in the money you paid for your trip, too. The complex is part of an eco park with a real tropical jungle, and you will be able to take part in special day programmes such as jungle treks, survival tours and an eco tour. During your stay we will organise special theme programmes on most afternoons, such as dancing lessons, Brazilian crafts and nature lessons. In addition there will be opportunities for you to take part in lively evening activities such as take part in regular evening activities such as music, dance and cultural shows.
Programmes en activities outside the complex
There are many interesting activities for you to take part in, not only in but also outside our complex! Jungle tours and excursions (many of them on the river) to the source of the Amazon, to Januari, a very special swamp lake, the village of Iranduba with its traditional Cabocole lifestyle, the caves and waterfalls of Presidente Fiquereido, a night cruise on the Amazon, a barbecue party on the Praia da Luna (the romantic Moon beach), a trip searching for crocodile and (specially for fish lovers) fishing for piranha (you must taste that lovely piranha soup!) and Tucanare fish, that can grow up to a metre and a half long. As if that is not enough, there are also opportunities to go on a number of overnight trips. Just to give a couple of examples, there is a two day trip to our own floating hotel (situated even deeper in the jungle) and a 2 to 4 day cruise to and among the Anavilhanes, the largest fresh water archipelago in the world. Then there is a special fishing trip to Balbinas, where there are catfish that can grow to several metres and black piranhas. Or perhaps you would like to go on a 3 to 4 day trek to the highest mountain of the Amazonas, whilst others might consider the jungle trip with a night out in the jungle as the highlight of their holiday. Your food and drink will be collected from the jungle, and in the evening you will to set up your own bivouac. This is especially for the adventurers among you!
Encontro das águas.
Um passeio de 4 horas com barco Amazônica para o famoso encontro das águas, onde o Rio Solimões e o Rio Negro se juntam para formar o Rio Amazonas. O encontro é um verdadeiro espetáculo, mostrando os dois rios, suas diferentes cores, por kilômetros.
O pantanal de January.
Esta região, no ponto final entre os Solimões e o Rio Negro, é formada por um espetáculo de lagos, natureza, piranhas e jacarés. O passeio tem duração de aproximadamente 6 horas, incluindo visitas as enormes árvores da selva, lagos de Vitória Regia, canoagem nos igarapés, pescas de piranha, focagem de jacaré e observação de pássaros. E na volta, comemos a famosa sopa de Piranhas.

Caminhada ecológica no alto Rio Negro.
Esta caminhada leva a gente para a margem direita do Rio Negro, em direção à selva virgem alta, onde um guia mostra os segredos ecológicos e medicinais da região. O passeio inclui visita a uma tradicional produção de mandioca e farofa. A saída é do pier do resort, com um barco da Tiwa, tendo o passeio duração de uma hora até o ponto de partida da caminhada, que leva uma ou até duas horas.
Praia do Tupe.
Praia de Tupe é uma das praias mais bonitas da região, deserta durante a semana e bem freqüentada pelo público de Manaus nos finais de semana. Principalmente aos domingos, o clima é muito alegre, com música, churrasco e gente bonita. Há amplas possibilidades de realização de esportes aquáticos nos lagos, atrás da praia. A beleza da praia também conquistou um centro de pesquisa de ecologia sustentável da universidade local.
Visita a casa indígena com produção de farofa.
Esta visita leva a gente a uma casa tradicional de caboclos, com artesanato local e visita a uma produção de farofa e mandioca, duas das principais atividades econômicas da região.
Pernoite na arquipélago de Anavilhanes.
Os barcos da Tiwa Amazonas Ecoresort nos levam a cerca de 30 km do resort, pelo Rio Negro, em um igarapé no arquipélago de Anavilhanes. Anavilhanes é um milagre ecológico composto de mais de 1.000 ilhas. No hotel flutuante, temos a oportunidade de pernoitar na selva, dentro do arquipélago, com passeios nas matas afastadas e visita ao Município Indígena daquela região. Uma aventura única dentro da selva Amazônica.
Expedição para o Rio Solimões.
O Rio Negro é um rio de água preta, enquanto o Rio Solimões tem água mais clara, mais rica em minerais, e com uma natureza diversa da que encontramos à beira do Rio Negro. A Expedição leva a gente aos maravilhosos lagos da região, repletos de pássaros e borboletas.
City tour em Manaus.
Portão de entrada para a maior reserva ecológica do planeta, a cidade Manaus foi fundada em 1671. Tendo sido chamada no começo do século XX de a "Paris dos Trópicos", Manaus conta com monumentos arquitetônicos, como o Teatro Amazonas, um porto e famosas feiras.
Show de BOI na Ponta Negra e casa de forro.
A história do BOI BUMBA surgiu a partir de uma lenda antiga, que está no coração das manifestações culturais da região Amazônica. Danças e músicas típicas, além de vestidos maravilhosos marcam esta festa cultural. Toda noite é realizado o show do BOI no boulevard da Ponta Negra, e algumas vezes no resort também.
Para quem quiser, também há a possibilidade de sair na cidade de Manaus em direção às casas de forró. Ou mesmo, aproveitar a grande variedade de discotecas ao ar livre, com suas músicas vibrantes, até tarde. Para quem quer sair, é bom não esquecer de marcar o horário do barco, para voltar ao resort.
