HOTEL REMOTA
THE PLACE
Thousands of red and yellow shades
in the native forest in autumn,
the skin hair of the guanacos glittering
in the evening sun,
a hand or some isterious lines
painted on the rock of a cave,
the tidiness of some stones or trunks
signs of life in a vast scenery,
the painted bodies of the Onas in their initiation rite,
where the idea of Cuerpos Pintados originated,
the end feathers in the wing of the condor,
allowing it unparalleled gliding,
the multicoloured tin in the “puestos”,
home of solitary shepherds and farmers,
painted tin homes in Puerto Natales,
spontaneous signs in any remote place,
the winding line of endless roads,
of fences that disappear in the fields,
the deep eye of the puma,
or the painted eye, for the celebration of the yamana,
and the canoe in which they sailed, carved from a trunk,
the guanaco’s hide, that was home and dress for the ona.
LOCATION
A hotel, so, so far away, hard enough to reach that you have to deserve it,
a destination so marvelous and beautiful in itself,
that it is looked forward to like a good party,
or a celebration with family and friends,
and it is dreamt of for years, days and hours.
A hotel so distant from the city,
that it is immersed in nature and the culture
of a remote and untouched place,
but yet so close to the comfort to which the city has got us used to,
that it may also offer some essential luxury,
so that going out for a walk
may be a pleasure all year round, and not an epic victory.
The hotel’s architecture
is an invitation to stop
and meditate on the trip’s experience,
in the splendor of the remote,
at a site that is characteristic of Magallanes,
inspired on the haciendas’ architecture,
not that of their houses, of British origin, slightly isolated,
but that of the warehouses.
Inside there are, for example,
some open fires, lit and with no exhaust system
all is made to lead a life in Patagonia just as it should be,
but this time not in an shearing house,
but in a enjoyable and luxurious one.

We offer fourteen different tours, in a region that is a real world reserve of beauty and culture, both within Torres del Paine National Park, as well as beyond mountains, glaciers, lakes, rivers and forests, towards cattle farms in vast prairies, land of ancestral native cultures, nomad hunters like Onas and Huilliches, or the Yamanas, fishermen and divers, who have impregnated their geography with the stories and legends that seduce today.s travelers, as much as they did the first seamen and scientists, like Magellan and Darwin.
Our highly trained team of guides speaks both Spanish and English. They are friendly and enthusiastic people who feel that being a guide is a pleasure as much as it is their job.
They know when to respect silence, and their natural and cultural environment, and they are trained to offer first-aid assistance should it be needed.
