DE LA PLATA RIVER
National Anchorena Park in Colonia del Sacramento
Aron de Anchorena gave his property in Colonia to the State, with the purpose of create a National Park which he wanted it to be called National Park Arón de Anchorena.
He was born in Buenos Aires on the 5th of November of 1877. He was a member of one of the richest and powerful Argentinean families, in a moment of great expansion of that country.
The park is next to the San Juan River and the Rio de la Plata. With an English architectonical style, it is the place for the presidents on duty to rest. It is monthly visited by 1.300 people, its fauna, vegetation and peace will result in an unforgettable visit.
ANCHORENA PARK

It is an splendid place during the whole year, from it is possible to appreciate the Colonia del Sacramento bay, some beaches like, Real de San Carlos, Municipal resort, El Alamo, Oreja de Negro, calm waters that are perfect to practice nautical sports
In some occasions it is full, its capacity is for more than 160 yachts. Besides this is the usual place for the ships that take part in the important boat races of the Río de la Plata.
The sunset that is possible to see over San Gabriel island is really amazing.
